Kelly Ripa and Hubby Revisit Their ‘Children’

Ripa and husband Mark Consuelos, both of whom are alumni of the ABC daytime soap opera “All My Children,” will be reprising their popular roles for the show’s Jan. 4 and Jan. 5 episodes in accordance with the show’s 40th anniversary.
According to, “Its story line will have Pine Valley elected ‘The Most Congenial Town in America,’ and Hayley (Ripa) and Mateo (Consuelos) will return to their hometown for Hayley to produce and host a documentary for her television show ‘The Wave,’ as she interviews her family members, friends and citizens who all call Pine Valley home.’”
Other veteran cast members who will appear on the anniversary episodes include Eva La Rue, who played Dr. Maria Santos Grey and now stars as a cast regular on the CBS crime drama “CSI: Miami;”  Julia Barr, who played Brooke English; Laurence Lau, who played Greg Nelson; Taylor Miller, who played Nina Cortlandt;  James Mitchell, who played millionaire Palmer Cortlandt; Nina’s father, Leven Rambin, who played look-a-like half sisters Lily Montgomery and Ava Benton; and Eden Riegel, who played Bianca Montgomery, the lesbian daughter of Susan Lucci’s iconic character Erica Kane.
"It is always great to come home," Ripa said.

After spending 12 years as Hayley Vaughn Santos on “All My Children,” Ripa became co-host to Regis Philbin on ABC’s morning talk show “Live with Regis and Kelly.” She also starred on the ABC sitcom “Hope & Faith” opposite ex-“Murphy Brown” star Faith Ford from 2003 to 2006.
